The Story about this Picture
The "Rolf" I have was painted at Twintowns Returned Services league club,Tweed Heads,NSW Australia,my father and I went to a Rolf Harris variety show late 1990,amongst other brlliant things Rolf brings out this big board already painted orange,while he tells yarns and jokes he uses his usual 6in brush,starting with water along the top,followed by pale blue for mist then dark blue for trees and fence posts which runs down to make the vertical lines,then the black and yellow tree and posts,some of the tree trunks he painted with his finger,he put a small dot on one of the branches and said that was a cockroach!Then flicks yellow and black for grass in the foreground.After Rolf signed and dated it he said it is to be auctioned for charity and we could buy tickets at intermission ... |
